Our Approach
As our students progress on their healing, recovery, and reentry journey – access to employment opportunities is critical as they learn how to support themselves, their families, and give back to their community.
For decades, Amity has worked with policymakers to eliminate legal and social hurdles designed to prevent justice-involved individuals from entering the workforce.
Our in-house employment services team aims to provide workforce development services including job training, job placement, support services, case management, occupational therapy, soft skill services and work-based learning to our students. Throughout the years we have hosted graduations for students in a variety of training initiatives with our community college partners: East LA Community College, Pierce College, and Antelope Valley.
Amity Foundation has built a long-standing partnership with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), that is integral to our focus on placing people at the center of the justice system. Our MCRP and FCRP campuses reflect CDCR’s commitment to investing in proven alternatives to incarceration, and the steps we are taking together to advance rehabilitation, accountability, and safer, healthier communities.
