ARC’s Hollywood Dorm: Housing and Entertainment Arts Training for Transition-Aged Youth

In February 2023, ARC opened the Hollywood CPR Dorm in Atwater Village to support Transition-Aged Youth (TAY) enrolled in the Hollywood CPR program at West LA College. 

Amity Foundation plays a key role in this effort, partnering with ARC to identify justice-involved young adults with an interest in film and television production. The Hollywood CPR Dorm is more than just housing, as ARC provides students with comprehensive, wraparound support including mentorship from individuals with lived experience who offer guidance on mental health, healthy habits, relationship building, anger management, and financial literacy.

Many of these formerly incarcerated youth go on to launch successful careers behind the camera – securing union jobs in television and film production that turn their strengths into lasting career opportunities.
